Petrified Wood can be found in ore pockets anywhere in the Erebus, in lots of up to 9. It is used for crafting a variety of things, all of which provide a wooden alternative that does not get eaten by Beetle Larvae.
The ores are affected by the Fortune enchantment.

Crafting[]
Petrified Wooden Planks are crafted using 4 Petrified Wood in a 2x2 shape. These planks are used to craft the Petrified Wooden Crafting Table and Chest.
Petrified Wood Crafting Table[]
This crafting table has a fairly pretty UI, in a different colour from the normal Crafting Table. It is inedible to Beetle Larvae. It is crafted the same way as a normal Crafting Table.
Petrified Wooden Chest[]
The Petrified Wooden Chest, crafted with 8 Petrified Wooden Planks surrounding a Gold Ingot, has 4 rows of 9 slots instead of the regular 3. Placing two next to eachother creates a Large Petrified Wooden Chest, which has 8 rows of 9 slots. As with all Petrified Wood, it is inedible to Beetle Larvae.
